Roanoke, as we every time pronounce it' ro-ann-oakie'e, whereas its just' ro-ann-oak', we prefer our version so we will stick to that :)

Kind of a brief visit here in Virginia, we head to the forest slightly further inland with the hope to do our clothes washing chores from the van nice and hidden out the way. Paul finds some bike trails to get put on for a few hours (which he really enjoyed even in the 30 degree heat); I don't know how he does it, I managed a thirty minute hike and I was done. I turned out to be absolutely heaving here so the chores went on hold; what a shame! It's a really remote area with lots of wooden country houses and slightly run down shops, it doesn't sounds much but it's quite pretty, quiet and a nice place to chill out for the day.
