For our last day, we wanted to go out to the ocean, so we decided to drive along the coast over near Sooke. First was the Esquimalt lagoon where Zach and I used to go every now and again. In the morning my Mum and I decided we'd go to the Bateman gallery. It's right downtown, and I'm surprised I've never been there before because I love Bateman so much. We spent a couple hours there, wandering through the gallery and looking at the paintings. It was so lovely to be able to see them up close and in person. Usually I hate going boxing day shopping, although Zach loves it. But I wanted to go check for keyboards for my new iPad, so we headed over to uptown. Didn't really find anything. And it was way too busy. We walked over to the Walmart in the same complex, but no luck there either. The complex is pretty new, but hasn't changed much since we were there. We actually had a good sleep in for once. And because we were a little late getting up and we were going to have a big supper again, we decided to just have a bit of a lunch. Even though it was Christmas Eve, Zach and I headed downtown for breakfast. We went to Murchie's for a London Fog and a muffin. Zach had a sandwich.
