Hawaii Paradise: Getting the hell out of cold, snowy Edmonton to Kona, Hawaii.
Many day trips done. Not much 'sitting around' and relaxing. // Living in New Zealand: The year we lived in Hamilton, New Zealand. // Victoria Christmas: The Christmas holidays spent back in Victoria. First time back in over two years and still so much nicer than Edmonton. Why did we move away again? // Relaxing Punta Cana: All-inclusive stay in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Really relaxing and not my usual vacation - this time it's just sitting on the beach in the sun. // Classic Niagara and Toronto: A trip with the children's choir for a tour to the ever-touristy Niagara Falls. // South Africa and Benelux: Two-week choir tour to South Africa from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg to George and finally to Cape Town. Then, on the way home, a week-long group trip to Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. // Quick Ottawa: Going for my first conference with a couple days of sightseeing afterwards. // Baltic and Iceland : The first part of this trip was with the Edmonton Youth Choir for one our international tours in the Baltic (to compete in the World Choir Games). Started by flying into Riga, then down to Kaunas, over to Vilnius, back up to Riga, then to Tallinn and finally up to Helsinki. The second half was a stopover in Iceland that I was so excited to do with a few friends. // Summer in Cuba: A trip with friends to do some work in and travel around Cuba. // The Grand Baltic Tour: My first EYC tour. From Russia, to Estonia to Finland. Fantastic all the way from the people, to the places, to the music. // The Peruvian Adventure: Off to Peru, staring in the capital, Lima, over to a higher altitude of Arequipa, then all the way up to Cusco with a necessary stop at Machu Picchu. // La France: A French-based trip taken with my Gr.9 class in Junior High. Best friends in Paris? What's better than that... // Essential New York Trip: A Quick trip to New York with Caitlin. She said she wanted to go - asked if I wanted to go with her. Of course I did. // New Years in Mexico: A trip down to Mexico to escape the cold and white of Edmonton winters // The Great OZ & NZ Return: Going back to visit everyone in Australia and New Zealand. And maybe see a few new things along the way.

BTW, those flowers are Passionfruit. Bruges looks lovely.Yay currywurst! Will Interpol be looking for you to arrest you for photographing an original Picasso?

Wonderful that you took the time to see some fine art first-hand. It's so much more impactful to see them 'live', instead of just in a coffee-table book, yes?!?!

Oh, I laugh at your top-floor hotel room up the tiny stairs. Authentic Amsterdam, indeed! We had the same (a spiral 'ladder') in The Hague for two weeks :-) But you must have a good view from the top room, which was likely a storage room in the past with a winch to bring in goods from the canal - like an upstairs basement. Don't forget to try the fried mashed potato sticks that you can get at kiosks everywhere (Krokette?)

If you're wearing hoodies at a late supper it must be fairly cool at night, yes? (after all it's winter). How hot during the day with your choir shirts or gowns on?

Really enjoy reading your blog. It's most interesting to learn how the trip is going. Please keep up the good work!Lois McNaught (Joey Binkley's Grandmother)
