Saturday was the day of doom! but not for me! yay! Yes, i am too much of a wimp for any of these bungy antics but Jen on the other hand is hard core! So being the awesome friend I am i paid to go and watch her. Little did I know that this experience alone would be enough to scare the craP out of me! The Nevis is the highest bungy in NZ at 134m! its high! The bungy itself is suspended in the middle of a gorge so you have to take a cable car over t this pod in the middle before hurling yourself off it. Even going to watch I had to wear a harness. For those of you who dont know I am PETRIFIED of heights and cable cars are possibly my least favourite things in the world.
Think i may have looked the most scared person up there even though I wasnt jumping. Brave Jen was a legend. i could barely watch and it was aweful as it goes by weight so she was second to last. I spent the best part of an hour looking up with my hand clenched to the railing. Bless some guy who came and put his arm around me to tell me it would all be ok. When i informed him i wasnt even jumping all he could say was ''oh dear, I dont think you should!' By th time jen jumped i was able to watch and even take photos, although i was seriously shaking. Such a wimp. She was very brave and the jump looked awesome. As soon as we got back on land I was regretting not doing it.
That night we continued the bungy watching theme and went up MORE cable cars to watch the boys jump the ledge, overlooking Queenstown. The views were beautiful. After such an adreneline filled day we needed a night out in Queenstown - more lash adn general carnage from the BRRB. The next day all we could face doing was crazy golf which was wicked. Finally had to say goodbye to the remainder of kia woka which was very sad indeed!
