Another very early start to get teh bus to Milford Sound, but well worth it for the stunning views on the way. We stopped at the mirror lakes to check out the amazing reflections of the mountains, the n to more Lord of the rings scenes. The mountains and waterfalls were really beautiful (for a change). The photos dont do it justice! Once we reached Milford sound we took a boat trip on the Fiord out to the the tasman sea, spotting seals on the way and going through huge waterfalls cascading over the hanging valleys. Again I was in my element as a geographer and tried to bore everyine with my knowledge of landscape formations. see, the degree was useful mum and dad!

We then went to an underwater observatory to look at the underwater life in the Fiord. Loads of cool fish and sea creatures, so much better than any aquarium. Shattered by the time we got back to the hostel. This travelling business is very hard work!! need a holiday!
