Arrived after the overnight flight from San Fran very tired but couldn't check in until noon. Found Boston sooooo cold after California but instantly loved it. ROAD TRIP!! Picked up our car (which we named Myrtle) and caused a bit of a fuss so got lots of money off the rental (standard). Cannot believe we are in the USA already! Insane. Spent 1st night in LA (after traveling all night) in Venice Beach. Wandered around the cute little boho area - freak shows, homeless people, vintage shops and gorgeous boutiques.
