After looking at some more huge geysers and also thefamous Kiwi bird, we headed to Waitomo. In this area rainwater has carved a network of underground caves in the limestone and here we did blakcwater rafting (dont worry - no nudity or near death experiences). We got kitted out in wetsuits and sat in rubber tubes through the underground caves, jumping off waterfalls and checking out the glowworms!

Despite planning a chilled eveing in the scenic hostel, we all ended up playing drinking games (shock horror) and somehow spent the evening on a street corner, singing a melody of dodgy pop music. We were later joined by scary Maori locals who joined in! V odd nite indeed!
