Left Ziegenbruck battling a raging headwind whilst trying to crawl uphill. Fortunately we changed direction and instead we had a strong side wind blowing us all over the road! Then finally we had a welcome tailwind which helped up the hils. Without the camping gear we are actually using the big chainring several times a day rather than it just being an ornament. Another bus shelter for lunch, shelter being the key word. We booked a self catering apartment for one night in Reisenbach above the 'Oh La La' Lingerie shop - actually we had to go into the lingerie shop to get our apartment keys! Our own kitchen for a change, Donna cooked a roast dinner and I did bacon butties for brecky - a welcome change to bread, cheese and cold meat! Another windy day for a short ride to Altenburg, the planned route had to be aborted when it was taking us up the slip road to the motorway - German drivers shouting Verbotten to us finally rang a bell and we made a u-turn and looked for a revised route - phew! Great hotel and Pizza for dinner, missing our little tent so much

Tony At times when it's cold, wet & windy and we are struggling uphill i think work at PAL was easier but i don't regret our decision to give it a bash. I hope things are going well at work!!
Peter Burnett Crack on! Funny I used to live in Altenburg Gardens in Clapham.
Peter Burnett If you are going in to Czech have a look at Karlovy Vary, a spa town.
