Koh Phangan today, the best day we have had for weather since we got here! The beach the ferry went from was gorgeous; the water was like a milk bottle!
The ferry was a ferry catamaran, it was like being on a booze cruise. Near enough everyone on there had backpacks and were all young drinking beer!

Got off the otherwise not knowing where our hostel was and Ross's hotel, so we got on the back of a truck and had the bags chucked on the roof rack, the driver didn't have a clue what was going on or where people where staying because he kept ramming as many people in to the truck as possible to get money, didn't really work in the end because he had the same amount of people as the other drivers. We took our bags off the roof rack twice before he decided we were actually staying on there; soon found out there was no actual point in us getting on the truck because it would have been quicker to walk! We could see the ferry port from the beach restaurant at Ross hotel.
We asked if we could stop at lime n soda with Ross instead of us being about 2km away from him at the hostel we booked and mum and dad are 10km away from us so it would be a lot of messing about and back and forth.
The lime and soda place was fully booked but she said that Ross room could have an extra person in there for free, we tested the bed. Mugging a being the sardine in the middle - we fit! So we decided on staying. Bonus for me n Scott - free accommodation for 7 nights, haven't paid for nomad hostel!
It's not like lime n soda were loosing out on money, they were making it back by two extra people buying their food and drink.
I asked for another pillow, 'no because room only for two people' aw great so muggins here again has to sleep in between the crack of two pillows! Good job for Ross's memory foam travelling neck pillow!
The room was so tiny but we managed to plonk our bags down and just lived out of them; it was so dark and dim in there with a massive fan just blowing at the bed so with a bit of luck it will stop Mosquitos landing on us and having a feeding frenzie!
I'm so glad yet let us stay, the place has a pool and it was much needed today as will it be tomorrow after a heavy night for NYE!

Went for a stroll down the beach, found a little wooden shack hanging over the beach so we started as mean to go on and had a large chang each.

Got ready and went to the bar for 8pm, booked a return taxi with the hotel because I'm not fancying a hefty taxi bill back at god knows what time in the morning. 200 bahts return for a half hour journey isn't bad!
They provided body paints for us and there were neon lights and a black sheet with all patterns and designs on, Ross and Scott didn't freest me doing theirs, so Ross being the arty one pulled the short straw and done our paints, I managed to grab hold of the brush and do some very creative dots on Ross face but Scott criticised my art work because I didn't follow his hair line close enough! Typical. But in my defence I had had a few beers and a free tequila shot, which was enormous!

Haad Rin was crazy, they all say that police check you for drugs and stuff... Do they heck, I seen about two pice officers before I got on the beach and then there were none. There were people everywhere there is no way they would have been able to control it and i don't think a lot people would go if they couldn't have drugs there.

The buckets... Oh the buckets. They are so strong! A little bottle of gin/vodka/whiskey... What ever you wanted really with what ever soft drink you could possibly want and a little shot bottle of red bull... For £3.50!

The alleyways leading to the beaches were lined with make shift stalls of food and drinks and clothes, tattoo shops and bars.
The beach was crazy lined with loads of bars and music playing from each, I've never seen so many people all at once on a beach getting smashed! It was incredible to see.
Countdown was crazy you could hear everyone shouting the numbers out, the firework display on the mountain that curved the bay went on for ages, fireworks must not have gone off properly, they set the mountain on fire, it spread fairly quickly because it's so dry here. They soon had it put with their buckets of water no doubt!
We partied hard and drank a lot of buckets!
I had three or four some of which was split all down Scott haha, and I can't remember getting in the truck to go back home. Ross and Scott said that I fell asleep on a Asian lady and she was just tapping my head and stroking my face apparently! Haha! How funny, Ross said she looked terrified, probably thinking 'why the hell is this white woman snoring on me I don't even no her, is this what they do in Britain between strangers?!' Haha!
