Super looking forward to getting up and gone again today, if I stay any longer I may be charged for animal cruelty. Absolutely unbelievable at how much those animals make a racket. Ridiculous!!
Easy Peacy catching a bus to loboc. Simply wait on the side of the road in the burning sun for the next bus to whizz by and hold your arm out to hitch hike it. They go passed every 20 minutes. We waited only about 15 minutes and the bus wasn’t busy, we had three seats each to put our bag on them. A little different from the Sri Lankan buses haha. Natural air con still though, the sun bloody burning the one side of you but it wasn’t bad! They dropped us off in Loboc after an hour and half journey and we were only around the corner from our hotel.
Loboc already looked hell of a lot busier and had more going on there. Wishing we had spent more nights here than Carmen but oh well, nothing you can do about that!
We dumped our bags, had twenty minutes rest in the air con before going out to do a river cruise for lunch, Loboc is known for the river cruises with singers singing old love songs (why I’m not sure but sounds fun).
We waited ages in queue for a ticket, we didn’t have a priority number so everyone kept passing us. The only reason they had a priority number was because they were on a bus tour. So then I got antsy and asked for a number because how the hell were we supposed to get on a boat other wise?!
144 we were... they were on 50 something!
Finally when we got our tickets we headed to our boat and food buffet was already being served. Soup and fresh prawns for me with some ocra and noodles. I wasn’t trying the chicken and pork like Ellie. I couldn’t stomach that not after all the bad experiences we have had with it in the passed Asian countries.
Food was delicious, they kept serving it whilst we drove down the very clean green river listening to a lady singing. Extremely peaceful! Just what was needed!
The ride was about 1.5 hours, on the way back we stopped and a floating platform had Filipinos performing traditional dances they didn’t look like they really wanted to be there to be honest but it was pretty good. I get awkward in situations like this especially being in the seat at the front because they were on our side of the boat and not knowing where to look at them!
Ellie bloody loving it the tourist in her taking videos at every chance to upload 60 videos and photos of the day on Facebook hehe! She makes me laugh!
Funny situations we get ourselves in, you just can’t help but laugh at us. Couldn’t find anything to do after that and we couldn’t even find a bar to sit in only little local shops which we definitely weren’t going to do.
Beth’s tummy isn’t feeling very strong and it’s about to rain and we have no where to go. Only one thing for it... bottle of wine for later to sit on the balcony and to go and enjoy the nicer room than what we have had for the previous two days. Ellie bought four bottles of beer for £2.50 and me a bottle of wine for £4 haha.
As our weather boobies predicted it absolutely blasted it down with rain from about 3.30pm until early hours of the morning with some awesome thunder too.
We bunged on KUWTK and drank wine.
We had to have an early night tonight anyways because the pick up for the ferry tomorrow morning is 5am. Bloody great! At least this wine may make us sleep!
