We can't believe how fast eye the last four weeks have flown, and how much our persona has changed on South India; we aren't scared to cross the street anymore or barter extremely low prices for tuk tuks and clothes. Although the horns we will never get used to I don think, they always make us jump! Yeah, I had experienced it before but you do loose your touch I think!
Even though India is one of few countries in the world to have the most snakes, we seen two tiny ones which in one sense is relieving but disappointing as well!
I will never get my head around that most people don't wear shoes to go anywhere, there were even men on the plane not wearing shoes, don't what their walking through.. Yuk!
The country is full of dirt, mud and rubbish everywhere and cows have the right away whether their on a highway, pavement or even on the beach. They help themselves to food stalls or by sticking their heads through a grocery store to nibble on what ever foo they can get their teeth into and there is nothing anyone can do because they are sacred animals, haha!
The people are lovely to you, and are always happy I help or go out their way to help you,
I won't miss the horns, they're going to haunt me in my sleep, I'm sure of it! And I've started to head bob myself, it's so catchy!
The homeless people here different to the homeless in the US and UK, the homeless here are begging because they are genuinely starving and haven't eaten in god knows how long, if they don't get money they don't eat and definetly don't have any shelter to stay. Whereas in countries such as the US and the UK there is a good chance that they will be able to find food from food banks, and at some point get at least one or two nights in shelters.
India described in a nut shell would be 'organised chaos', but somehow it works!
