Hello all you Pomey mates! If one more Kiwi calls me that I will scream!

So I have been up to loads since I last wrote on my blog! Went back to Auckland for the night on the 1st after leaving the Bay of Islands, (didnt really want to have to do that but there is no other way really!). Met up with Marlyn, who I met in Paihia, caught the Intercity bus to Coromandal...its lovely there, its where a lot of people from NZ go on Holiday and when you see the pictures you will see why!

So we got there and booked in at a hostel called the Lions Den..Mum and Annie you would have loved it there. It was amazing, definately the best hostel yet. Marlyn and I loved it! It was really hippyfied!! Loads of plants everywhere, things hanging from trees (the cotton things)..little tent in the garden with a double bed in it and an outdoor shed...which was done up for people to stay in...lush! They had lovely decking area with nice big areas to 'chill' in. The decor was all in nice wood with cool patterns in African style! Just how you would like to live. Lady who runs it was so cool and the guests were old hippy types too! We had a bbq on the veranda outside..was fun!!!

Grandpa, you will like this story and I have taken some pics for you!!! We decided to go on the Coromandal Creek Train (you may me laugh but its cool ok!). It was all made single handedly by a kiwi chap. He decided it would be a nice thing to do and also would be nice to replant the bank its on with wild bush plants. So we went on that and it was really nice, we thought the guy deserved the money for such hard efforts off his own back!! Really great views from the top aswell!

Today we hired a car to get to Whitianga..that was amusing on all the zig zag mountain roads..stupid car wouldnt get up the hill!! We arrived at the Youth Hostel here...really nice just opposite the beach. Also today we drove the car to Hahei Beach and to Hot water beach (where you can dig your own holes and hot water comes out..tide was in though so we couldn't do that...ah well!!!) its about an hours drive from where we are staying! Then I got to drive (yes mum and I was fine, least they drive on the left!!) to Cathedral Cove and this pace is amazing...even though we had to walk miles down a track to get to it...but was a nice walk and at least the sun wasn't blazing!!

Messed about on the beach down there it was beautiful! Having such a great time here...no really its awesome!!!

We are heading back to Coromandal Town tomo, staying in the funky Lions Den again! Then we are on the road South to Mt Maunganui (mog-an-ooy!) near a town called Tauranga..should be cool.
