We arrived back in the lovely Krabi, yay! We were so happy to be anywhere but Koh Lanta. Yes, it was still a monsoon but there were bars, restaurants and PEOPLE! Our first stop was at McDonalds because we were absolutely starving, and I'm telling you, it's never tasted so good! We had made a reservation for one hotel but we were walking for a long time away from the town and couldn't find it, so we decided to walk up and down looking for a cheap yet nice place to stay. We came across 'J Mansion', which offered a nice room with a double bed, shower and air con for 400 baht (approx £8 a night). Done! Again, there wasn't an awful lot to do besides organised trips, but we only planned to stay for one or two nights. The rain eased off eventually which made it nice for when we wanted to go out in the evening. We found some good bars which were lively, with free pool and free shots *urgh*. Our second day was better weather, no sun mind but a lot less rain. We walked on the beach which looked beautiful even though it was a dull day, and the water felt lovely on our feet. Kindly, another hotel let us use their pool as it was low season so not very busy, which was very refreshing as it was still hot and quite humid! After 2 nights, we decided to book our bus/boat trip to Koh Tao. We left at 6am and the journey in the bus was very bumpy... luckily for James the bus had a high ceiling or he would've had a very sore head! I was very excited about going to Koh Tao, as this was the last place we had been before our emergency trip home. Bring on the sun!
