We had to leave Thailand as our visa expired on 14th September, so we booked a flight from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. We were staying for 2 nights.
When we turned up, it was strange to be in a massive city again, it was like the London away from home! We stayed in Bintang Gardens which was a standard hotel. All the hotels seemed pretty expensive, definitely more costly to the accommodation in Thailand. Our hotel was next door to a very nice and cheap Malaysian restaurant called Papa Rich. The food was delicious, but not the kind of food I'd want to eat 3 times a day!
The shopping in Kuala Lumpur is incredible if you've got the cash! I lost James to a DC Comics Store which had brilliant Batman, Superman etc merchandise in! There was so much he wanted to buy for him and our mates, but it was very expensive!
There were good places to go in the night time, but as we were tight for cash we didn't go out and booze it up. Honestly, our bodies needed the break!
We took an evening stroll to take pictures of the Twin Towers which looked beautiful at night. There are things to see and do in Kuala Lumpur if you have money to spend, but we managed to enjoy our days on our budget anyway.
After 2 nights, it was definitely enough. We were looking forward to Thailand life again. Our next stop - Bangkok!
