One of our favourite places in Thailand is Chiang Mai! We arrived by overnight train fairly tired, and at the station were some representatives from a hotel called 'Thaphae Gardens'. The hotel looked great and it had a swimming pool (indoor, mind) which was brilliant as it was so hot! We spent 2 nights in a lovely little town called Pai, which was 3 hours from Chiang Mai. The bus trip itself wasn't great - the journey is along very windy country roads, so you are being thrown about in the back of a minibus the whole way! When we arrived, we saw a tuk-tuk Taxi for the 'Happy House' so we thought we'd check it out. They had one bungalow available, and it was the best!
