Last day of the cruise :(. We were up mega early at 5:30am and on an island walking round by 6am. We saw blue footed boobies and frigrate birds again, and although we have seen these a lot on our cruise, today we saw something special as the male frigate birds inflated their red necks and the blue footed boobies were carrying out courting displays. It was quite interesting to watch. We also saw another baby sealion- never boring because they are so cute!!
After breakfast we packed up and were dropped off on Baltra Island. Eddy embarassingly left her travel towel on the boat so the Captain's assistant had to go fetch it using the dinghy.
Once back on Santa Cruz we booked our transport to Isabela island as we heard it is beautiful. We tried to change our flights to have more time here as we love the Galapagos but it wasn't possible. We had lunch in a pizza place which does really nice pizza by the slice. Not exactly Ecuadorian cuisine but authentic in that it is ran by an Italian.
On the boat to Isabela island us English passengers seemed to be the only ones who weren't throwing up. The worst thing was we were all on one side of the boat facing all the Ecuadorians who were being sick everywhere. They then had to hold on to what they managed to aim into a bag for the entire two hour journey. I felt a bit sorry for them as I was sitting there eating my crisps. To be fair the waves were really high so the boat was very jumpy but I thought it was great, it was like being on a ride at Alton Towers. Eddy and Kat both took sea sickness tablets so maybe that helped them.
When we got to Isabela island we booked a day trip for the next day to visit round the island in the morning and go snorkelling round Tortuga island in the afternoon. After dinner we went for cocktails and had a 'late night' but we were still in bed by 11pm ready for another early start.
