Day 63 - Fremantle & Perth
We went to Bunnings and swapped our gas bottle then did some shopping at Aldi. The it was time to drive to Fremantle.
First we did a little detour past Bibra Lake and saw some swans then continued to Fremantle.
Our first stop was the Round House for the 1pm canon firing but we missed it by 2 mins! So instead once everyone left we had a look at the canon and then went inside the Old Round House which was the first jail from 1831 to 1857. The kids had fun getting locked in a stock, wearing a ball & chains and seeing how the prisoners lived.
We then walked through the beautiful streets to the Fremantle Markets. The kids had lots of fun buying souvenirs and we sampled lots of food.
We finally dragged them away and Josh was hoping to go for a swim at Bathers Beach but it was a bit cold and windy so they played at the park instead.
We then walked around Boat and Fisherman’s Harbour on our way back to the car.
We then ended our day at Matilda Bay where we had a picnic dinner with my beautiful friend Anna and her family. It was so lovely to see Anna again as it’s been years. Our kids hadn’t met each other and they are all the same ages so they had lots of fun playing together.
