Day 71 - Peaceful Bay to Denmark
Today marks 10 weeks on the road and we’ve nearly driven 15,000 kms!
We left Peaceful Bay around 8:30am and as we were driving towards Denmark we saw a field of deer. They were very cute and I would of loved a photo but there wasn’t anywhere to pull over.
We arrived at Big4 Denmark Ocean Beach Holiday Park around 9:30am.
As we got set-up the kids went and played on the jumping pillow and playground. They also went to look at the kangaroos and joeys that are gazing on the grass at the end of our street - there are heaps.
We drove into town and filled up the car then we drove to Denmark Thrills Adventure Park.
What a fun day we had going on zip lines (one 65m and the other 100m). The kids climbed a 12m high tree and stood on a branch to enjoy the view then abseiled down. Josh rock climbed and abseiled down. Bronte went on a giant tree swing and both kids went on the smaller tree swings too. We all tried walking the tight rope. We played lots of games of bocce and the kids and Rog had fun playing bubble soccer which was actually bubble battles. I think Bronte spent most of the time on her back. The kids were summersaulting down the hill and rolling down the hill in them. It was funny to watch and they were both so hot and sweaty when they finished.
By 2pm we had to drag the kids away so we could go sightseeing. Our first stop was Greens Pool which is like a massive swimming pool lined with big boulders and crystal clear water. It was so beautiful and we would of loved to go swimming and snorkelling here but it was a bit too cold. We then walked further around the point to view Elephant Rocks. They are big rocks which looks like a herd of elephants in the water. Rog spotted a black and yellow snake on the walking track. Thankfully Bronte & I were behind him and missed it.
We then drove back to the caravan park and the kids and I played putt putt golf and went and looked at the joeys.
