Day 16 Erldunda to Alice Springs (195km / 2.5 hrs)
We only had a short drive today so we had a slow morning. The kids fed the camels and kangaroos some carrot, apples & zucchini then we fuelled and left Erldunda Roadhouse around 9:30am.
We stopped halfway at Stuart Wells and had a look around the Roadhouse. There was some memorabilia and they too have a Camel Farm but it looked closed. So we just looked at the camel and emu at the Roadhouse.
We then continued our drive to Alice Springs and crossed over the dry Finke River.
We arrived at the Big4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park at 12pm. The kids were so excited as there are so many facilities for them to enjoy and friends from previous stops are staying here to so lots of friends to play with.
We had lunch then the kids rode their bikes, Josh rode around the bmx track, they played at the equipment, on the jumping pillow, in the games room, Bronte did some art and then I took them (and some friends) to the pool. The kids loved the waterslide and swimming in the different pools.
Rog & dad went to the National Road Transport Hall of Fame and couldn’t believe how large and how many vehicles there were.
When they got back Rog, mum & I went and got fuel and then did some groceries.
We had dinner and the kids played cards with their friends.
