Today brought rain. Starting in the wee hours of the morning, it started pouring and storming with loud thunder. Although it waned, it continued most of the day. It brought some pretty massive slugs out. I couldn't decide if I wanted to squash them or eat them. I opted for neither. Because it was so wet, we spent the day indoors mostly, stopping in at cafes for tea and snacks.
We found this hippy cafe, Pacha Mama, with gluten free desserts. Not that I'm gluten free by any means but I was intrigued at it because they used ragi, or millet floor! Damian had this crepe made with the ragi and it was amazing! I ate some but will definitely go back for my own. Damo doesn't like to share. Another food win occurred when we dined for lunch at Welcome Cafe. They had the best palak paneer I've ever had. The paneer was so fresh!
The rain did not disrupt my routine of morning meditation and yoga though. Damian came with me to Yoga with Om and loved it! He is really good! THEN, he came to Yin in the afternoon. Crazy!!
To be honest I'm getting a little sick of the morning meditation. I think I've been 10 times now or something. I haven't missed a day and wondering what kind of vacation it is when I have to set my alarm for 6am everyday. Although I don't really feel the benefits so much I'm sure two hours of calming your mind with the breath and with meditation, can't hurt. So I'll keep at it.
Dinner was unremarkable but dessert brought us back to Pacha Mama. Damian had this ice cream sundae thing with ragi flour in it (that's millet in case you didn't read it in yesterday's blog) and it was amazing. Although I only had a chai, I begged for bites.
We will definitely miss the food here. Our days here are numbered, only three more. Time flies here and I'm starting to see how easily I could spend another week. Oh well they say it's better to be left wanting a little bit.
Tomorrow brings much of the same, again.
Till then.
