Back to Paradise!
After nearly 24 hours on the road, I have safely arrived in Ko Tao on the South Coast of Thailand.
The weather is beautiful and the beach is every bit as White and sandy as you'd expect to see in an exotic holiday magazine.
The main attraction here is diving, and I could immediately see why. During the catamaran journey, I managed to see many tropical fish through the surface of the clear green water. In addition I saw flying fish like never before. They literally flew for 20 metres at a time.
Upon arrival at the island, I jumped on the back of a motorcycle taxi, and was dropped off at Ban's diving resort. I chose this place based on a lonely planet recommendation.
After a short discussion with a hotel guest I was soon sold to the idea of staying there. In addition I had signed up for a 3 1/2 day diving course which includes 4 nights accommodation for 9,800 baht.
I managed to barter down to 9,000 and they included a fifth night for that price.
Starting tonight, I'll be on an intense course and will be qualified to go diving as a result.
