Dive king!

First of all, apologies for the lack of blogs recently. I've been far too busy enjoying myself (and the lack of Internet doesn't help!)

I am now a proud owner of an advanced diving certificate! What this basically means is I can now dive in 98% of the worlds dive sites without the need of an instructor.

My experience here in Ko Tao has been one of the highlights of my trip so far (thanks mr Paul Dow for the recommendation!)

I have met some fantastic friends here on the island, instructors, dive masters & divers alike. Not only is diving a good thing to tick off the 'to do list' it's also a great social event.

I literally feel like we've created our own little family here and we all look out for each other. We've all gone through our ups & downs. From my sea sickness to the issues other people had we've kept together a close knit team & helped each other through.

The diving itself has been amazing. In addition to the numerous turtles we saw, we saw sting rays, barracudas, clown & puffer fish. Unfortunately we didn't come across any whale sharks which is supposed to be the one to find.

A couple of days back we had our open water night out. In typical 'Nathan Sudbury' style, a night out wouldn't be a night out without any craziness going on. My prop for the night was a black cock! Before your mind wanders into places it shouldn't, black c*** is a bottle of local spirits that retails for £3 a litre! The whole team had a blast on the black cock, and we all went downhill from there!

Last night we had our final advanced open water team night out. Again a night out with me wouldn't be the same without a prop! Last nights victim was a bar tray. Although it didn't have as much alcohol as the black cock, it was just as lethal!

As always with travelling, although you meet great people, you have to say good-bye at some point. Some of the team have already left, some are leaving tomorrow. Fortunately some are going in the same direction as me (Ko Phan Ngan), therefore it's not all doom & gloom & may the party continue!
