Another day has gone by and I have progressed another day in my diving course.
Not only have we now cleared all the theory and exams of the open water course, we have also successfully completed our first sea dive.
The picture represents the diving site we visited today.
If yesterday's experience of diving in the pool was exciting, todays sea dive blew it out of the water (no pun intended) to see all various fishes, coral and aquatic life 12 meters under was out of this world.
I believe tomorrow will get even better as we do two 18 metre dives. This will be the last early start before we party tomorrow night to celebrate completing the course.
Such is my enjoyment of diving, I have decided to pay another £150 to do the advanced diving course for a further two days. This will consist of five dives of 30 metres including a night dive.
I really never thought I'd take to diving this much. It may seem like a lot of money, but Ko Tao is the cheapest place in the world to do a diving course, so it's well worth blowing the budget for. And the scenery isn't bad either!
Another good part about the diving course is meeting so many great people (both instructors and fellow divers). We have all bonded very well, such that we're a little family (it's a good job really as we're trusting these people with our lives!!). I'm really looking forward to the celebratory drinks tomorrow evening.
After the 3 days of solid rain I experienced in Laos, I have been blessed with the weather here as it has been constant 30-35 degrees sunshine.
The sun tan is definitely back on track!!
