The Great Escape!
After spending six unforgettable nights in Ko Chang, today was the day I plotted my escape from the island and prepared to begin a new adventure in the shape of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Many people I've spoken to have spent months here when their original intentions were to stay for merely a couple of days.
I can understand why, but as there's much more of South East Asia I'd like to see it's time to move on.
After spending the day Elephant Trekking, I decided to hit yet another beach party last night which involved BBQ, dancing and one too many buckets!
I've met some fantastic people during my stay here, and I do believe this has an influence on how you feel about a place.
The weather has been very kind too. Only a few occasions has it rained in what is supposed to be the monsoon season.
Today I simply made the most of my last beach destination for a while by basking in the 30degree heat. The David Dickenson tan is progressing nicely!!
The minibus pickup is 7am tomorrow. Not sure how I'll cope with the early morning, however I'll arrive in Siem Reap approximately 5pm which which will provide me with a decent opportunity to find accommodation.
Back on the wagon now for a couple of days as the beach parties are well and truly taking their toll. The major concern is how I will cope without my daily dose of Pad Thai Noodles!!

I think you are 6 hrs in front so that makes it 4pm with you.. so you should be nearing your destination now in Cambodia, , hope you enjoy it as much as Thailand .. I'm sure you will .. and I also know that it will be a better place for having you around!! Keep safe and hope you find some Pad Thai Noodles .. . .. Love Mum x x x x x
