When I woke up this morning, I never dreamt I'd be swimming on the back of an elephant. But that's exactly what I did on this fine sunny day.
Ko Chang means Elephant Island, so it was fitting that I decided to do this fantastic activity here.
Having hired a scooter for a day, I braved the steep hills and ventured north of the island. I spent two hours trekking through the jungle sitting on an elephants back.
During the second hour, I was literally swimming with the elephant. I know of a lot of people who love elephants and after this experience I can certainly see why.
My elephant was called Bang. He was friendly and loved splashing about in the stream.
The two hours seemed to fly by, and although it wasn't the cheapest of activities, I felt it was worthwhile as it helps towards the elephants care and food etc.
After the elephant trekking, I rode back to the beach to bask in the glorious sunshine and swim in the sea.
I'm now about to utilise the bike hire by heading south of the island to a small fishing village called Bang Bao. Another perfect day in paradise!

Riding an elephant .. what a luxury!! well worth the money I'm sure . . you can't do that back home ! . . not so sure about the bike tho . . you're getting too brave now lol lol!!PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! philyphil Elephant and bike riding is good if it gets you back into driving again, you may even want to drive us to the match again one day when you get back?????
