Another leisurely start to the day with our usual breakfast on the terrace before heading off to check the progress on John's new villa project. While John was doing the serious stuff I decided to have a poke around and photograph the various building products and methods of use.
Unfortunately I managed to disturb a wasp's nest and the inhabitants were not impressed!!!! I received a number of stings to my right arm before I could beat a hasty retreat!! None too soon we left the site to visit a pottery shop where we bought a few souvenirs before I decided we needed to make an unscheduled stop at the chemists to get a bit of advice and much needed sympathy. Once the medical emergency was over we headed towards Javea on the way we dropped into Viveros Toscal Garden Centre to look at olive trees the garden centre has some of the biggest plants, palms and trees I have ever seen in pots many of them are very very old. A wonderful place to find the perfect centre piece for your garden landscape. By the time we had walked around the centre checking out all the plants it was time for lunch today we chose Bar El Clavo in Port Javea for a Tapas lunch. The food was excellent and was washed down with a local red.
On the way home we stopped at the supermarket to get a few ingredients so Linda could make up some Pimms for consumption on the terrace ( my favorite place) looking out to Monkgo. As soon as we got home I took my offending limb for a bit of therapy in the pool followed by a siesta. When I woke up I found them all conspiring on the terrace. John was reading the notes that came with my medication and translating for Linda. You would have thought the guys would stick together but no! He translated the bit that said 'no alcohol'
