The Magic Bus, Peg, Mich, Blase, Bai, Albie, Rob, Ryan, George, and I...Goodbye to Airlie, Helloooo Sydney!!
Early start to first stop, Agnes water / 1770. Arrived in late afternoon, had a swim (with a small shark in the shallows), drove around Roo spotting for Blase (seen a few, Roo selfies done). Weather turned, best lightning storm weve ever seen, lightning strikes in front of the pub we were in, power out, eating by phone light....drove to the high ground once passed, watched the storm roll out to sea, amazing. Bed time & Hostel...not so amazing , 9 in the room, no aircon....sweaty betty!
Next stop Noosa, sun out, town buzzing, great day. The gang loved Noosa, hostel was better (we had a double room, so did George n Bai) im sure the 6 man room was nice too !
Early start and off to Byron, following a brief detour to show the girls the Versace, and Surfers paradise. Byron was nice, lush hostel, great little town, nice vibes, lush coast line. Visited the light house, and the most Easterly point of Australia. Nearly lost George to Nimbin.....made do with hippy spotting instead, no shortage in Byron!
Byron ticked off, off to Sydney, plenty of pee stops arrived late at night, didnt stop George and Bai booking the sun rise bridge walk for the morning! Good move, they loved it, pictures look amazing! Still having the great weather, we went to an animal sanctuary (good shout Blase ). Koala's, tazzy devils, roo's, and everything else Ozzie photo'd and fed, and back to Sydney centre for exploring. Visited the 'Rocks', including Sydneys oldest pub (Robs new fave). Pegs still loving life, keep an eye on her Glenn, think she wants to emigrate! Having seen the sights, visited Manly beach, good swim in Bondi Beach, 47 odd degrees (hottest day since 1939!), few red patches on the pommes. Back to Xbase hostel, not as bad as Agnes water! Then a night out to Hard Rock Cafe, great get together before saying 'so long' to the crew.
The day had come for the gang to fly home....a teary wave off at Sydney Airport, the guys left on time, and arrived back in blighty safe and sound, body clocks are still all over the place going by the insta's & snap chat . Thanks for coming out all of you, we had a great time, cant wait to see you all again already!
Were now in Brisbane, fly to NZ tomorrow...keep you posted! xxx
