Brisbane - Airlie & Chrimbo

The time came for the Camper to go back, (with an extra 8000 miles on the clock) after a two night stay in a Brisbane camp site, clean tidy, resident possums, and screeching birds (0430 start each morning!), and fruit bats in the trees and bushes.

Van went back, explored Brisbane, South Bank was good, weird walking around xmas markets in boardies and shades, eating german sausages & waffle / ice creams. Nice place. Had a great night watching Brisbane Heat beat Melbourne at 'the Gaba', KFC bucket hats, scooners of beer and plenty of noise, great night at the cricket, good shout Ryan! (If our cricket was half as entertaining it may be more popular).

We celebrated Mich's birthday in Brisbane, after a day out in Wet n Wild. Ry and Albs done a bungy drop / swing, ryan blistered his feet (feet with fingers ) floor was too hot to walk on, think we were the only divs bare footed.

Xmas shopping, secret santas sorted, we picked up the gang (now 9 of us) from Brisbane Airport. Felt great to see everyone again, Albs has waited over a year to see her sisters and nan! After a monster 13 hour drive, we arrived at Airlie, drew the short straw for rooms, got settled and got out! Had days out in town, lagoon, Whitsunday islands, Sailing boat charter & snorkelling, fishing charter, Ryan landing the Biggest fish, George the most, forget what Rob had (shark ate my biggest fish on the way upto the surface). Mich, Bai, George and I even squeezed in a skydive! The 's***head' scores are looking good for me at the mo (daily card school). Peg has mastered relaxation, on her 4th Book? and getting some colour. Bai caught fish from hand lines on the harbour wall, George used his secret santa fishing kit to nail a few too. Rob now talks constant Ozzie (top C*&@ Mate!), Blase is giving Peg competition in the sun lounger / lilo in the pool competition! Mich is loving be Mum to us all again, Brilliant time in Airlie, excellent Xmas & New Year, shame we are light of a few of the Xmas requlars, see you all soon xx

On the road to Sydney tomorrow, via Agnes water, Noosa, Byron Bay! Woop Woop!
