We decided to do the scenic drive which took in a couple of beaches and the pink lake. The beaches in Esperance are absolutely stunning. Bright white sand and crystal clear water, I think they are by far the best beaches in Australia. There are plenty as well, so there is no shortage of beaches. We had decided to make a little detour and visit Wave Rock. We had heard about this, but when we looked at the maps it was sort of on the way to nowhere, therefore you have to detour 100klms or so to get to it. We were so glad because we had a great time and the rock is fantastic. Its about 100 metres long and 15 metres high, so its not small. DENMARK We arrived in Denmark still under cool conditions. This coastal area of WA doesn't seem to stop raining. Whilst it's only a sprinkle here and there, it seems every day it rains. AUGUSTA and PEMBERTON We are now at Augusta the most South Westerly point of Australia. We went to the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse which is where the Indian Ocean meets with the Southern Ocean. Was a cold and blustery day but a nice change. I hope we don't have to endure this for very long. Next day was Jewel Cave, this was absolutely amazing.
