Coral Bay is about 150klms south of Exmouth. We had remembered this little coastal village from our motorbike trip about 3 years ago and thought it would be a great place to re-visit. It is well known for it's fishing and snorkelling. The caravan park is opposite the beach and can be seen from our van.
The highlight of Coral Bay was the dune buggy tour we did. The best part was we had like our own private tour as there were no other buggies except for Lynette and Warrens. It was great fun zipping in and out of the dunes and we also managed to spot some turtles from some of the vantage points. Warren did manage to get his buggy bogged in one of the deep sand areas which was pretty amusing. The buggies are speed limited to 40kph but that seemed pretty quick on the narrow tracks in and around the dunes.
Again the wind is a bit blustery but seems to be decreasing as the days go by. Next we head to Monkey Mia which is further south. Whilst its still around 30 degrees here, the temperature should start to get cooler as we make our way south towards Perth.
We have now been on the road for 3 months and I can confirm that Jo-anne has not been left out in the desert. The time just seems to fly by and the Kimberely seems so long ago and was so spectacular.
Next destination Denham (Monkey Mia)
