Thursday 22nd Nov
We went to the Medical Centre for Daniel's check up appointment at 11am. We were there for a while as he had to have a x-ray to ensure that there wasn't any damage to his knee. Unfortunately it meant more money to spend. Health is obviously more important so it have to be done. Daniel's knee haven't improved overnight so the doctor reckoned that he needed Physiotherapy. He is hoping that it would sort him out after this session.
We went straight to Physiotherapy which was delivered to him straight away. Daniel was in the session for at least 45mins. Due to us departing Queenstown to Christchurch tomorrow, he couldn't have another session and was told how to exercise to get it better, hopefully at least in 3 days. Luckily for us, there was no cost to have the session to our surprise.
So far on the fees, Daniel have already spent around $350 so good job that we are covered by the travel insurance. Hopefully will get it back again. However Daniel got a x-ray to keep to remember for his travels.
Eventually we were out around 1pm to return back to the hostel to have our lunch. We then made our way to the travel desk to book our trip to Kaikoura from Christchurch for a swim with the dolphins.
Our plan from now on is leaving Queenstown tomorrow to Christchurch, stay a couple of nights. Bus to Kaikoura on Sunday, staying over night for a early morning swim with the dolphins before catching a bus back to Christchurch in the early evening. From that point, we are just basically hanging around in Christchurch till Nov 30th to fly to Melbourne.
We decided to use that free time left to update the blog/photos as you may have notice already. It was very stressful at the time cos we only had 2 hours to use on the internet and it wasn't still done! We are hoping that Australia won't be as expensive as New Zealand.
It was packing time once again. We were keen to get out of our dorm room as it have't been very comfortable due to horrid smell going on. It was due to one of the blokes' sweating feet/boots. It seriously stank the room badly, and unfortunately for us both, we were next to his bed! We tried everything including using our body spray, opening the windows/balcony door. Nothing worked!!!
It would be our last time to use Kiwi Ex Bus to Christchurch cos once we get there, we would be using a different company to take us to Kaikoura. Its cheaper than using Kiwi Ex apparently!!
We are hoping that Daniel will be better by then so he can get to swim with the dolphins. Might have to give him an inflatable ring to float for safely! Can't have him missing out!!
