Sunday 18th Nov
Leaving Wanaka to go to Queenstown for the full action packed day. However before we left Wanaka, we visited Puzzling World where we got the chance to have a go at solving all the mind numbing puzzles or to conquer the maze and illusion house. it was great fun but very difficult to solve the puzzles. At one point, the staff showed us the solution to one of the puzzles we failed to solve. It was so simple but unfortunately after watching it, we have already forgotten and still failed to solve the puzzle!
When we needed to go to the loo, it was funny at that stage cos once we went into separate ways, we ended up into one same room which was Roman Style Toliets which was entertaining. Eventually we managed to find a proper loo in the end! The loos were even funky too as you can see in the photo.
Moving on to Queenstown... while we were on the coach, we have booked a few activities to do already. We are going to do the following:
Trillogy Bungy Jumps along with full monty of dvds/photos of each jumps (Lisa only)
Canyon Swing
Mad Dog River Boarding
Shotover Jet
Before we arrived to the heart of the adventures, we stopped by at the one spot of AJ Hackett Bungy place. It was the original bungy called Kawarau Bridge Bungy. Its 43 metres in height and its the only bungy in New Zealand that you can opt to be dunked in the river below.
Lisa wasn't expecting to do her first bungee jump that soon but keen to get it out of the way. She didn't have to wait around very long for her turn, at least 15 mins or so. She was feeling confident but yet still nervous. The staff asked her whether she would like to get wet too. She declined but soon after, she decided to go for it seeing that it would be the only chance to do it.
She enjoyed it and was pleased to do it. She was totally wet from head to above her knees which she wasn't expecting at all! The fun wasn't over till then as she still got another bungee jump to do later on that day.
Finally arrived to Queenstown but before checking into the hostel, we stopped at the park to have a group photo to remember of Kiwi Experience Days.
Eventually got to hostel, luckily for us we were the first few people to check in. It was probably a good thing cos we only had a hour to sort ourselves out before Lisa's bungee jump at 5.30pm.
There were only 3 of us from the Kiwi Ex group doing that bungee jump. Its called The Ledge. This kind of jump is 47m and is 400m above Queenstown.
To get there, we had to ride the gondola up to Skyline where we had the views of Lake Wakatipu. Unfortunately for Daniel, he had to pay for his own ride up as he wanted to watch Lisa doing the jump.
Lisa was the first one out of the group to jump off. She didn't particularly enjoy it as she felt that she was really falling with no support! But still at least she managed to do it! 2 down, one more to go. Lisa was told that if she think that was worse, Nevis was going to be even worse than that. That didn't help her confidence at all!
We were exhausted and couldn't be bothered to do abit of cooking so we decided to grab Macdonalds. It was a good decision for us cos we didn't realise how much time we had left to get ready for the evening out with others for the last time together before everyone go their own ways. It was a good evening but we didn't drink much. Lisa didn't want it to affect her head tomorrow morning, in preparation for the Nevis Bungy.
