Monday 12th Nov

Got to get the coach at 7.15am, meaning 6am wake up call for us. We are experincing too many early mornings wake up!! We are looking forward to have a good lie in once we arrive to Australia.

Boarded onto the Ferry for 8.45am departure to Picton in South Island. The crossing took 3 hours.

Before going to Nelson, we stopped by in Picton for the wine tasting place to try a couple of wines. They weren't nice enough for us to purchase unfortunately cos they were reasonably cheap! However it was the lunch stop too so we wandered around, looking around at handmade craft and stuff like that etc. Lisa saw something she really liked and decided to purchase it, seeing that it was cheaper than what she was expecting. She bought a nice watch bracelet.

While we were waiting for others to finish their lunch, our driver's friend who came along for a free lift on our coach asked if we have tried New Zealand's ice cream. Unfortunately we didn't just yet till he suggested that we should as it was cheap. So we did at the cafe and it was so yummy! Very filling as it took a long while to finish it!

Arrived at Nelson and our hostel was based in a very nice hotel looking! And we were the first one to check into our room and saw the bunk bed that had a double bed at the bottom of the bunk. We grabbed it!!! It was lovely to be in the double bed again, more room! Once others arrived, they weren't really pleased with Lisa, as they were thinking that she had a double bed to herself. Daniel was in the bathroom at the time. Luckily for her, Daniel came out at the right time before the boys dissappeared to realise their mistake!! I reckon that they weren't happy cos we paid for the same rate as them, yet we got the double bed instead of the bunk bed!

At the hostel, they offered the free beer tasting session which we took up. We had about 10 shots of different beers which was a good laugh!

So basically we had a couple of free alcohol sessions today!

In the evening, there wasn't much to do so we decided to retire ourselves to the tv room which they were showing the Heroes Episodes which we nodded off. We thought that it would be a good idea to have an early night which we slept beautifully in our double bed ;)
