Twenty years ago today, I turned 26, and my loving husband had one of those defining moments where something comparatively vague becomes cataclysmically clear. After wishing me a happy birthday he looked at me ever so seriously and stated in absolute shock, "I can't believe my wife is almost 30!" When he came to, we discussed the relativity of time (that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant!) that 29 is more accurately nearly 30, and that he wasn't getting any younger himself... over the years I have come to forgive him.

This morning however, we both looked very seriously at each other and whispered together "Nearly-50!" as though there was some merit in shocking ourselves. I don't know where the time has gone, but I'm on the south side of 40 and living the life of a gypsy girl, wondering what on earth I am doing, homeless, unemployed and loving it. I never would have dreamed in a million years when I was Nearly-30 that my life would be so blessed by Nearly-50. Since we started travelling I have come to appreciate how many beautiful people I have tucked so deeply in my heart. As I read your many blessings and wishes on Facebook today, I realized again and again that I am never really alone and that there is no place really far away. Thank you all for your love and cyber hugs. May you too be blessed with the extraordinary gift of friendship deep in your heart as you have blessed me.
