Waterfall Tour
A wonderful day in Wells Gray Provincial Park on our own guided tour of some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Canada. Wells Gray has 39 waterfalls in its boundaries. Helmcken Falls is a 141 metre (463 feet) high waterfall on the Murtle River and is the fourth largest waterfall in Canada. Spahats falls plunge straight down 200 feet in a canyon which has created an enormous bowl that contains the spill. Even the power of the "little" Dawson falls and Mush Bowl rapids was phenomenal.
We gathered wood, berries and memories all along the way and returned "home" to an outstanding spaghetti supper made by Tim. Some had an evening swim, some chopped and split wood, while others supervised pyro-Tim's magnificent fire which caused all other campers to covet (especially at $7.00 for a wee pile of campground firewood).
