25 years ago I fell deeply in love with Switzerland - for more than just their chocolate - so when we pulled through the mountains into Invermere my only regret was that I had never been there sooner. I would have been happy to stay.
Further on, however, as we reached the southern edge of the Kootenay Valley and arrived in Creston - the handsome farm boy sitting beside me quietly coveted the lush green valley fields and phenomenal farm land. What a beautiful earth.
We were blessed to be with Tim's "Canadian" family, the Johnson's. Many of the Johnsons live in Silver Valley. Eric and Nicole are there loving Bentley for us. Arlen and Joanne and Merle and Debbie live here in Creston and have given us an incredible family welcome. Merle and Debbie's new home is beautiful and has a fantastic view from every direction.
The Bed and Breakfast service was so good Eden said in the morning, "I think I will put my belt on a looser hole, as I will probably grow into it over breakfast!" Thank you Debbie and Joanne, for the incredible food, and Arlen and Crazy Uncle Merle for the entertainment... laughs like that are usually quite expensive!
Now we find ourselves once again heading North on the Selkirk Loop headed for Ainsworth Hot Springs and Nelson - a place I have been told time and time again that I absolutely need to see...
