Prince Rupert is definitely the end of the road, and surprisingly enough the only sunny spot on our trip so far! August first – the only day it hasn't rained on us!
Everyone is stoked to go ocean fishing (photi) tomorrow. Photi is the in vogue spelling of fish in English... ph as you know is another pronunciation of F as in photograph. Oddly the "o" is pronounced "i" in women and so why not in fish?.. and "ti" is the "sh" of "tion" as in fiction!
Perhaps I have been too long in such a small space?
The wildlife count is: Bear 7, eagle 4, deer too many way too close!, porcupine 1(dead), salmon 2, fishermen 100's!

Donna-Lee This is great - The famous quote is making me laugh and cry - it does feel like a month! Your spider plant is thriving at my house and each time I water it - I think of you all and this wonderful adventure you are on. Lucky you to have sunshine in Prince Rupert, I remember visiting there before taking the ferry across to Port Hardy. As we drove into Prince Rupert there was a sign " Welcome to Prince Rupert, We are celebrating our 295th day of rain!!!" And yep it was raining. Maral and I are getting ready to ride his Harley to Liard Hot Springs tomorrow. I have something to look forward to when I return home - the Smithsonian Saga! PS Henri is still sitting proud on the top of my dresser with Rozy Bear. You have no idea how many smiles they have brought to me and how much strength I have gained just by seeing them. OXOXO DL
