Got up at 4.30 am! (by choice i might add) to go and watch the sun rise on the beach! that is after id kicked 6 lizards and a crab off the tent lol. it was amazing watching the sun come up, thinking that at home it was just going down, really weird! and then along came a dingoe and stole one of the girls flip-flops! bloody hilarious! although it did give it back eventually lol

today I DROVE! its kind of liek driving on snow but weirder! lol we went to Indian Heads, which is a huge cliff where you can see pretty much along the whole coast of Fraser! and you can spot dolphins, turtles, sharks, although it 34 degrees its a little hard to concentrate!

after we were done taking photos, we drove back to Ely creek, this time to swim in it, however with it only being about 3ft deep this was a bit of an issue haha. But dubsy told us to float down which was really fun! and very relaxing! so you walk to the top of the creek along a boardwalk and then there is a platform into the water. back in with the fish and eels! and the water was FREEZING lol and when everyone had had enough we drove back to camp to battle the marsh flies! i never want to see another one of these in my life! lol

we had spag bol, cooked by jonny, which was lush! and after a few goons on the beach we all sloped off to bed.

Last day on Fraser, and i was the first one up after Dubsy, so sat and had a chat with him about my death adder experience, and my huntsman spider in the Ely creek toilets! he sed we were lucky that the adder didnt chase us! everyone else, especially the boys, were a little slow at getting up, so dubsy got out the pot and pan and they soon appeared then lol.

we took a particualry rough route to lake McKenzie today so im glad i didnt drive! the roads were a nightmare and everyone kept getting stuck! and i reckon i hit my head on the roof about 4 times, meaning i was atleast a foot off my seat! lol oh, and i forgot to mention that we hit a tree yesterday!! a spanish girl called maria was driving and "forgot" to turn as we entered camp and we slammed straight in to it head on, everyone was fine and so was the car luckily, otherwise we loose our $60 deposit! so we were all relieved!

anyway! we arrived at lake mckenzie, a huge freshwater lake which is only filled by rainwater, its amazing, it too has the silica sand and crystal water, and after 2 days without a shower, you have never seen anything like it, that sand was in every single girls hair in an attempt to get clean it was hilarious! and it actualyl worked!!

the drive back to the barge was just as hurrendous! bags and people flying about all over the place! but i dont think any of us had laughed that much in a while! we were all quite sad to be leaving really, depsite everything we moaned about lol.

got back tot he hostel and had the best shower of my life!! (sort of!) lol and then we all sat by the pool and ate out $10 all you can eat pizza hut and had a few drinks! best group of people i have met so far!
