Arrived in Airlie Beach to it absolutely hammering it down, not the weather you expect in Aus! what a lovely welcome!

bus journey wasnt too bad although we didnt get much sleep but atleast we saved money on a nights accomodation i guess!

sorry, about that, there are so bloody creepy bugs out here! lol the hostel we are staying in- Base. is AMAZING! best one so far! so we have just booked it for sydney now as well so we can hav a decent night before our flights to NZ. we are sharing with an english couple called Phil and Jess who are 2 of the lovliest people we hav met so far! we have been chatting loads and me and phil spent quite a while discussing the wrongs and rights of being a TA lol and how much we are both missing footy!

Chilled out again today, like most days really! as there isnt alot to do here, the town pretty much consists of just one street! and a lagoon, much like cairns but this one is surrounded by sand. and yet again, even in my factor 50! i have been burnt to a crisp, so much so i have blisters on my stomach and ears. ouch! lesson learnt now i hope! however i appear to be going a slight shade of brown! lol

2days sailing round the Whitsundays from tomorrow, meaning a night sleeping on a boat, that will be interesting! then onto my favourite part, Fraser island 4x4! (although il have to endure a 13hr bus ride before that treat!)
