Zvi Josef's Travels
After a bad night sleep, we had an ok-ish breakfast and headed out to town on foot.
We walked across a Communist looking park, through the city's famous Vitosha street, visited several churches, a synagogue, a mosque and two markets, had some local street food and headed to the main street to see more churches, a couple of museum's, the president palace and the famous Levski cathedral.
We then went to a nearby park to see a couple of more monuments, went through the red house for an art gallery and headed back to the hotel for some afternoon desserts and evening drinks and some food.
We then went to the biggest mall in the city for some shopping (nothing major), and then realized the central Carrefour store has been bankrupt. It was quite shocking to walk through empty shelves - with Communism looming nearby.
We ended the day with a nasty taxi driver (hope you get two flat tires, buddy!) and watching the 2nd semi of the Eurovision Song Contest, cheering for our country, which made it to the final.
