So a little rough from antics at Crazy Duck but made it up to meet Eunju at 10am to go to Hwaseong Fortress for Buddhas birthday! Yup thats right we're off school to celebrate Buddhas birthday!! We went to a temple first and had a chat with some Monks teehee then Eunju showed me how to bow to buddha...felt kinda strange and a bit stupid but hey "When in Korea!". There were poeple queing up to pour water over the buddha statue and so many people crammed into each worship room! There were people making local crafts etc and bought a wee paper lotus flower, I thought it was pretty impressive watching them making it! There was a small food market running along the road too selling some strange looking things....chicken feet, Pigs heads and ears, dried seafood etc aarrgghhh!We then had a good walk about the fortess and got some good pics! Watched some people trying korean archery....which I wanted to do but I was too late :-( gutted! Would have had to wait another 2 hours! Had a really nice day...roasting tho!!! Went for lunch in town afterwards with Eunju for some Jeem Tak- my favourite dish! It's the same as what I had in Gyeongju. So cheap too....huge dish for up to 3 people, 26,000 Won which is approx £13 and I got to take half of it home coz we couldnt eat it all! Will certainly take Mum and Dad there when they come to visit!
