Well on the 22nd I eventually finished my 4 weeks of summer camp!! The 4 weeks were actually alot of fun and I got finished at 1 everyday!! The 1st week I had the 3rd grade students- I absolutely adore them! They were fantastic all week, I have never taught them before so they were glued to me for the full 5 days and amazed at everything I said or did. 2nd week was the 6th grade- total opposites!!! They were not interested in anything and too cool to sing songs etc so it was a slow week and I also had to work on the saturday to take them to the English village in Paju. The english village is as it says on the tin- an english village. Well actually its more american style but they had a convincing English pub where eunju and I enjoyed some lunch! The 1st part to the village when you enter is the airport so the kids have to go through customs and immigration speaking only english so they were all panicking haha! They all got given little passport notebook etc. A fun time was had by all I think.
The 3rd week I had the 4th grade- overall usually my fav grade to teach in my full time classes so I knew it would be a good week. They all loved being called by english names all week and loved seeing pics of my family and friends during our family tree lesson. Although they didnt recognise their own teacher in a few of the pics due to the fact they hardly see me with my hair down or straight so they thought I had a sister. All the girls ofcourse thought Paul was very beautiful as one girl said! hahaha! Had to explain that men are handsome not beautiful hahaha! They were all amazed by Michelle's blonde hair and kept wanting to go back to her pic. :-)
Last but not least I had the 5th grades- who were also fab and so treated them to some Mr Bean on the party day- they love him! Overall it was a good 4 weeks but was definetely looking forward to getting my butt on the plane to Japan!
