An hour and a quarter by water taxi from the islands is Belize City, which we heard was questionable to stay in so we decided to go straight to the bus terminal and get out!!!

We got the express´ bus; in the first 20mins we stopped at least 10 times to add more passengers. ÉXPRESS ME BOLLIX´¨....four hours later and a toilet break (where Shane almost didn't make it back on the bus after getting stuck behind bars!!!) in Belmopan, the new capital, after they decided to move it from Belize City due to Hurricane Mitch.

We made it to San Ignacio, a tourist town on the west of Belize. It has a large Amish farming community, which was a bit random to see!!! We could see that the main industry there was tourism, as they had extortionate prices on all the tours - so no tours for us then as we are becoming more budget savvy!!

One night here and then over the border in the morning. Our first border crossing by land....could be fun?!?!?!
