We arrived into our final South American country, Chile.
We needed to finish our planning for NZ and look into Australia too, so we spent a good bit of time just doing research. When we weren't doing research we were strolling around Santiago. It is a really nice city, one of our favourite main cities in South America. It is very walk able, has lots of nice street cafes and bars and has a nice relaxed vibe about it.
We met up with Sara for a lovely afternoon, eating at the fish market, and then heading to a bar for a catch up and to swap travel advice and stories.
We went to Valparaiso for 2 days as we had been recommended to see it. It is a funny little port town, all built on a hill with lots of different coloured houses and lots of graffiti as street art! A few hours wandering around was all we needed to see the place.
So then we were back to Santiago for a last few days of wandering and getting our final South American experiences. We are really going to miss the markets here....bustling, crazy and good fun trying to communicate and so cheap!!!
So we arranged our taxi to take us to the airport, and got ready to leave 4 1/2 months of Spanish speaking countries behind!!!!:)
