Saz and Dave's travels
We woke up late this morning and had breakfast where we decided that we fancied spending our last day on Phi Phi at Moodi beach. So we set off, only stopping briefly to pick up some lunch of doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and pineapple. The walk didn't seem as bad today as we knew where we were going and it only lasted about 50 minutes, however we were both very sweaty when we arrived.
It was a slight dissappointment tho as we jumped in the sea to find that it was even hotter than we had remembered and it only came upto our knees so we had to walk out a long way in order to find some nicer cool water.
After swimming we found an ace spot under a huge bush where we were guaranteed shade for the whole day and started the days relaxing (again). Sorry to anyone stressed with final year revision and projects or work but this time next year IT COULD BE YOU!!!
We had another lovely day chilling and reading (Rebecca might like to know that i was reading First They Killed My Father and Sarah was reading Captain Correllis Mandolin). The only downside about today was the fact that as we got back to the hotel we realised that we had been severly bitten by some sand flies or something, whatever they were the bites swell up loads and are really really itchy and we had loads of them.
Back in the room, after a shower, we noticed the lightning was back but also it was really really windy, leaving me to think that it was fairly likely that the storm was due tonight. However despite this i still decided that it would be a good idea to hang out all our washing to dry on our balcony. During our tea at the Pizza restaurant (that we ate at the other night) my prediction was correct and the rain came leathering it down in sheets, with really loud thunder and lightning that was so bright that you could see the turquoise colour in the sea. I was pretty satisfied that we had seen a big storm it was a right laugh apart from the fact that our washing was now wetter than it had been when we hung it out to dry!
