Most people in the group decided to go on a day trip today to the nearby national park island but they had to leave at 8am and we really wanted to sleep so we opted out of this trip! Today we left the hotel at 8am to go on a tour of The Killing Fields (Choeung Ek) and the S21 prison and genocide museum in the outskirts of Phnom Penh. It was a bit of a depressing morning really. Today we left Kratie and got back in the mini-bus for a seven hour journey to Phnom Penh (the capital of Cambodia).
