So yesterday was Lindsey's birthday, and we spent the day on Railay beach. Which is a few beaches cut off by huge rocks, so the only way to get to it is by taxi boat (200baht return - not bad). Spent the day on Phra Nang beach, which really was beautiful. Little crowed and not as good sand as Koh Lipe. But the landscape was just incredible. Being able to see all the rock formations, never seen a beach like it, and we even swam all the way round one of the rocks in the water. Wasn't really deep but because you couldn't see the bottom, I was too scared to put my feet down. Meaning I was worn out by the time we got to the front again. Got lunch from the cute longtail boat shops, and then the afternoon rain came in. So headed to another beach near by for the best cup of tea I've had so far. Literally just like ones from home and took me right back. Which really cured the slight home sickness I've been feeling. We just headed back to Ao Nang for a chilled evening.
Was so good at Railay beach, we headed back today. But this time it was to take the trek up to the viewpoint. Error #1 taking our backpacks, error #2 going bare foot. O my goodness, was it a workout. Just a sign in between some trees and you literally have to rock climb your way to the top, strenuous to say the least. However, the views from the top are possibly the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen, making it worth all the sweat, stubbed toes and looking like you've had a mud/clay bath. So beautiful the pictures actually look fake. You can see all of railway cape. Tried to make it to the lagoon but that really was pushing my rock climbing abilities, so bailed on that one.
Did a bit of reading on the beach to relax after our workout (really getting into my book now).
We've picked our bags back up now and making our way into krabi!
