First trek in the mountains

After much searching, we found a few large scale maps, these show vague lines which indicate "footpaths".

We choose a very cute sounding "moonlight trail" near to the Bach.

The car park was on a stone road about 1 mile along the valley, half way up the mountain. We then follow a path/ sheep trail stuck onto the mountainside.

The views are awesome, the track is occasionally dangerous to anyone with vertigo.

Way down below, slung across the shotover canyon is a swing. So another nz way to scare yourself for money.
