After leaving Mount Morgan on the 23rd August we decided to head for home so we wasted no time and arrived home on Wednesday 26th. Ross was very pleased to see his shed and we were pretty glad to be home and have some room around us, but that will wear off and I know that once winter is upon us again or very hot weather in summer we will take off once again heading either north to seek warmth or south to seek escape from the heat. 21st January We left home today after busily packing the van with goodies for our short trip, but I still managed to forget to complete emptying the fridge. Fortunately Maree finished the job and at the same time scored some really nice potato salad. 23rd August You might be wondering why I have such short blogs? It is the only way I can get the map to look anything like our trip. Well better late than never. We left home today at about 11.30am so the plan to get to Goolgowi 279kms away along the Kidman Way was changed. We stopped in Jerrilderie for some lunch and then went on to Coleambally 155kms from Mulwala and not far from Griffith. The electric blankets are on so we are looking forward to crawling into a warm bed after eating the chicken roast dinners which had been in the freezer. Friday August 30th We had a flat, well and truly mangled, tyre on the caravan. Fortunately we were in a small town pulled up on a fairly level part of the road when Ross noticed the tyre. He changed it and we bought another spare as we passed through Mt Isa.
