We decided that home was looking good and after all we didn't need to do and see everything in one go. So now it's home via Charters Towers, Winton, Blackall, Cunnamulla (In the big south west) Bourke, Griffith and home. Next year may be our biggest adventure yet, taking in all the west has to offer., so watch this space.

We drove through Bourke and continued on about 6km to get to Back of Bourke. Bourke itself is different to say the least. Most shop windows (if they have any) have bars or steel screens on them. The supermarket has a security guard on duty. A good place to shop if you need to and then go elsewhere. Back of Bourke is a small place but the caravan park we want is here, just off the highway. We travelled 365kms today to get to Cobar. We usually don't like to travel that far in a day, but along the Kidman Way there is little choice. The country we travelled through is pretty boring, no houses to be seen, no animals other than wild goats. We left home on Wednesday 25th at about 11.30am, after an uneventful trip along The Kidman Way we arrived in Griffith about 4pm.
